PATSY SUE ELLISON COX age 75 of Jefferson City passed away May 18, 2019 at Life Care Center in Jefferson City. She was of the Baptist faith and was saved at an early age at North Side Baptist Church by preacher J.B. Cross. She spent many years working at Johnson Spring factory, Magnavox and Rittenhouse.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Bessie (Sweetheart) Ellison; brother Charles (Shirley) McDaniel; sister Jean Shelton; several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son Dustin Cox and fiancé Darcy; grandchildren Sierra, Kaylee, Derrick, and Ava; sisters Ailene Combs with whom she made her home and sister and brother-in-law Faye (Ed) Beaver; brother Donnie Ellison; nieces Doris Cate, Tracey Dotson; nephews Todd (Kristy) Beaver and their daughter Reagan, Jay Combs, Matthew (Erica) Beaver, Mike (Midge) McDaniel; special friend and roommate Edna Glenn; special thanks to Jay Beaver for his love and friendship shown to Patsy during her illness. The family would like to extend thanks to Life Care Center of Jefferson City for their care and compassion shown to Patsy during her stay there.
The funeral services will be Tuesday May 21, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brian Rhodes officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather Wednesday 10:00am at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Westview Cemetery for a 11:00AM graveside service.
