Paul A. Davidson 76, of North Canton, Ohio died June 9, 2018 at home with his family by his side, in his Cleveland Indians t-shirt. Paul was born on Jan 15,1942 to Jesse and Marjory (Hall) Davidson of Mineral City, Ohio. They preceded him in death along with his sister Sharon Fross, on Jan.

30, 2002. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Jo Williams Davidson, his daughters Jo Davidson (Jody) and her husband Thomas Manzi, Jennifer (Robert Tenaglia) and their children Conner and Carly Tenaglia, Barb (Tony Seeden) and their children Olivia and Jayden Seeden, and Lisa (Derek Seeden) and their daughter Naomi Seeden. Paul graduated from Tuscarawas Valley High School in 1960.

He played drums in the marching band, was active in sports, and was the senior class President. He graduated from Malone University in 1965, and was a member of the basketball and baseball teams. He got his masters degree from The University of Akron.

Paul became an elementary school principle in 1967 and retired from Canton Local Schools after 28 years. He retired from the education department at Malone University after 18 years. He married Nancy Williams on August 14, 1965.

Paul and Nancy celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last August. Paul was an expert gardener and outdoorsman. He was a fisherman and he loved to chop firewood which he sold to local stores and customers.

He was occasionally a substitute preacher for local churches and was a wonderful storyteller. He made everybody laugh with his stories and his great sense of humor. He was a passionate sports lover for his entire life.

Along with his wife Nancy, he was a member of Church of the Lakes, where he sang in the church choir. Paul enjoyed beach vacations with children and grandchildren, attending music and sports events they were in, and teaching his grandchildren about nature. He was a huge supporter of the Malone Men’s basketball program.

The family is grateful to everyone who touched their lives, including the staff at Mercy Medical Center, University Hospitals and Aultman Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held Tues. at 11 a.m. in Church of The Lakes, United Methodist, with Pastor Bryan George officiating.

Following cremation, interment will be in North Canton Cemetery. Friends may call Tues. , from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the church, before the service.
