Paul John Celner passed away on September 14, 2018, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born to Charles Celner and Josephine Biel Celner on April 30, 1930. Paul graduated from East High School class of 1947 Married Jean Zordan on June 18, 1960.

Paul was a tool and die maker for 50 years. He retired from Atwood’s in 1996. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish and hunting and shooting archery.

He took up golf after his retirement and seemed to love it. Paul like to… Read More » travel alot with his wife most anywhere. But got extremely excited to be able to visit his grand kids in Idaho.

He met with several of his friend’s daily for coffee at McDonald’s. He enjoyed his children Ron and Cindy and a great love for his 8 grandchildren and great grandchild. He is survived by his wife Jean, children Ron (Aloni) Celner of Idaho Falls, Id.

Cindy (Jim) Ralston of Rockford. Grandchildren Austin of Rockford, Logan, Morgan, Madilyn, Anna and Samatha Celner of Idaho Falls, Id. and Andrew and Alexandra Ralston of Rockford, and great grandson Aidan Celner of Rockford.

Predeceased by his siblings, Louis, Ann, Joseph, Sister Mary Juliette, John, Charles and Frank, Stanley Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. , Rockford, IL 61108 and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita Catholic Church.
