Paul J. Galati, 80 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 5, 2018 in his home. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Pittsburgh to Vito and Frances Ruffa Galati who preceded him in death. On September 2, 1961 he married Judith Ann Wiseman who passed away on May 5, 2017.

Mr. Galati was a veteran having served his country in the United States Navy. He belonged to St. Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church in McMurray. Paul was the owner of Galati Nursery and Landscaping company for many years.

He belonged to the Elks Club #2213 in Bethel Park, VFW Post 764 in McMurray and the American Legion Post 902 in Houston. He is survived by his son Victor J. Galati (Julie S.) of North Strabane, six grandchildren Jessica, Jenna, Jade, Valerie, Justin, and Jordan Galati and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son Paul S. Galati and a daughter Christine A. Galati-Doyle.

Friends are welcome from 5~8 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor and Darla A. Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg where departing prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Entombment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park, 2095 Washington Road, Canonsburg, PA where full military rites will be accorded by VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the United States Navy Honor Guard.
