Obituary for Paul Paongo Paul Paongo Paul was born on July 15, 1947 in Nukualofa, Tonga Islands to Matangi & Losaline Paongo. He married Milika Tongilava December 23, 1970. Together they had eight wonderful children.

He served an LDS mission as a young man and later served in the Salt Lake City Temple. He loved to play tennis, enjoyed playing cards, always had the best dance moves and looked forward to all family reunions. He was a memorable, retired rampee at Delta Airlines in SLC.

He is survived by his wife Milika, seven children Eric (Sharon), Christine (Vaha) Kioa, Priscilla (Mike) Lei, Shaydeen Sione, Setelo (Rosemary), Sela Oto’ota’kakalo’oNukualofa, Losaline (Todd) Newman, 14 grandkids, 2 great granddaughters, 1 brother Saia, 4 sisters Winnie Lahi, Avalu, Leiola, and Winnie Si’i. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Lorna Smith, 1 brother Palavi Paongo, and eldest son Tracy Paongo. Funeral services will be held on April 14, 2018 (Saturday) at 12pm to 1pm in the Meadow Ward 1955 W 400 N in SLC, UT 84116.

Family viewing will be prior to the funeral services from 8am to 11am. Interment will be at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery immediately after the funeral. Services are under the direction of Peni Malohifo’ou of Serenity Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful relatives, friends, employees, and medical professionals who have so lovingly cared for Paul.
