of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston, NY. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 30, 1949, the son of the late Julian V. and Jessie [Kotoski] Mamon.

Mr. Mamon graduated from Lewiston Porter and St. Joseph’s College in Indiana and served as a Staff Sergeant in US Air Force. He was a foreman with Nabisco Brands in Buffalo, for over 25 years. Mr. Mamon enjoyed attending his children’s sporting events and playing basketball.

He is survived by his wife Monica A. [Donovan] Mamon, who was able to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary together the night before he passed away, also two sons Joseph W. (Karen) and Peter J. Mamon, a daughter Kristina A. (Victor) Muto, three grandchildren Logan and Alyx Muto and Jacob Mamon, two sisters in law of Rita (William) Geiben and Sandra (Mark) Rykiel and was the uncle of James and Nicholas Halliday. His family will be present on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be heldon Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard’s Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY, with Msgr.

David G. LiPuma officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude’s Hospital for Children.
