Obituary Service Details Pauline F. Close, age 88, of Caseyville, IL, born on September 6, 1930 in Tilden, IL, died on January 25, 2019 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon, IL. Pauline was a graduate of Sparta High School in Sparta, IL. For many years, she worked as a secretary for Famous Barr, Co. department store.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fairview Heights, IL. Pauline loved to play the piano, playing for the First Baptist Church in Caseyville, IL. She especially loved to listen to and play gospel music.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton Francis and Alice Marie, nee Koch, Stone; and her brother and sister, Hilton Francis Stone, and Gloria Neighbors. She is survived by her children, Marsha R. Stallons of Livingston, IL, and Rebecca M. Still (David Befiore) of Caseyville, IL; her grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Mitchell, Joshua Still, and Melanie (Joshua) Nichols; 7 great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Close Family and will be accepted at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
