Pearl Lenora Compton, 78, of South Haven, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at her home under Hospice care. She was born March 8, 1941 to Vivian and Annie Mae (Buford) Linwood in Memphis, Tennessee. Pearl worked at Pullman Industries and South Haven Rubber before becoming a team leader at the Campbells Soup Company.

She retired from Campbells in 2002 after 32 years of service. She enjoyed cooking and family Sunday dinners where she would make her family Ice Box Pie and Sweet Potato pies. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in South Haven.

She was preceded in death by husbands – Robert Morrison who passed in 1979 and Herbert Compton who passed in 1998, son – Randy Morrison, siblings – Lloyd Linwood, Vivian Linwood, and Martha Nelson, and granddaughter – Raven Morrison,. She is survived by her sons – Kenneth (Sandra) Morrison and Roderick (Veronica Martin) Morrison both of South Haven, step-children – Robbie Jean Bass of Omaha, Nebraska, David Lee Morrison of New York, Robert Lee Morrison of Omaha, Nebraska, and Joy Compton of Chicago, siblings – Lois Gereer, Charles, James, and Calvin Nelson, 12 grandchildren – Annetta Wafford, Danielle Compton, Katherine Compton, Kenneth Morrison, Jr., Raisa Morrison, Jesse Morrison, Juana Morrison, and Bianca Martin, and special grandson – Roderick Morrison II, and several great grandchildren. Wake will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven.

Funeral services will follow the wake at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jorge Diaz III officiating at the funeral home. Pearl will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery in Covert Township.
