Peggy’s Obituary Wooten East Bend- Mrs. Peggy Billings Wooten, 83, of Forbush Road passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Yadkin Nursing Center. She was born February 10, 1936 in Surry County to the late Eli and Nina Joyce Billings. Mrs. Wooten worked for several years with Bates Nitewear in Yadkinville.

She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and homemaker for her family. She loved each of them and enjoyed spending her time cooking or gardening for them. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Randy Wooten; 4 sisters, Iris Hardy, Lucille Wall, Jane Boyles, Joyce ton; and by 4 brothers, Jimmy Billings, Joe Bill Billings, Paul Robert Billings, and Junior Billings.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 64 years, Allen G. Wooten of the home; her daughter, Bonnie W. (Sam) Brown; grandchildren, Allen (Larissa) Brown, Devin (Lindsay) Brown, Jada (Erick) Crist, Jamie Brown (Jake Hinshaw), Alicia Hill, Brody (Molly) Wooten, Randi Wooten; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carolyn Bowen, Pat Walton; sister-in-law, Barbara W. Gentry; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 3:00 PM Thursday at Forbush Friends Meeting by Rev.

Jake Penley and Rev. Ray Lambe. Mrs. Wooten will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forbush Friends Meeting, c/o Mary Wooten, 2821 Mill Hill Road, East Bend, NC 27018. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for all the loving care given to Mrs. Wooten.
