PEGGY PHILLIPS SINK age 72, of 1279 North Main Street, Roxboro, NC died Saturday night, May 18, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Sink was born September 29, 1946 in Person County, NC daughter of the late Harvey Masten & Viola Holt Phillips and was wife of 42 years to Nelson Allen Sink who survives. She was retired from Tar Heel Chevrolet after 30 years of service and was a member of North Roxboro Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir for 38 years.

Peggy enjoyed tending to her flowers, dancing, and riding motorcycles with Allen. Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Lisa Culley Jeffreys & husband, Ronnie of Roxboro, NC, Christie Sink Honeycutt & husband, Robbie of Timberlake, NC, Dakota Carrington of Roanoke, VA, six grandchildren, Kortney Tompkins (Robert), Kyle Jeffreys (Carson), Masten Carr, Kelsee Jeffreys, Natalie Wynne Honeycutt, Weston Elvis Honeycutt, and great granddaughter, Bailey Eliza Carr. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sink is preceded in death by a sister, Betty P. Dixon, and two brothers, Harvey Phillips, Jr., and Jerry Phillips.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at North Roxboro Baptist Church with Dr. M. David Chambers and the Rev. Ben Durand officiating. Interment will follow in the Burchwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and guests Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at North Roxboro Baptist Church and other times at the home. Pallbearers will be Tim Davis, Wiley “Red” Emmert, Bob Linville, Reid Marston, Ronnie Pulliam, Alan Stovall, Gil Stovall, and Glen Stovall. Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the North Roxboro Baptist Church Choir Fund, 115 School Street, Roxboro, NC 27573.
