Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home. She was 53 years old. Penny Sue Faulkner was born on February 13, 1965 to Terry M. and Linda L. (Garrison) Faulkner.

She was a proud 1983 graduate of Merrill High School. Upon graduation, she attended Saginaw Valley State University. Penny was engaged to her longtime boyfriend, David Rose of Breckenridge; he survives her.

Throughout her life she was employed as a caretaker for Babion Foster Care in Merrill and the Arnold Center in Midland. Penny also held a certificate in phlebotomy. She was lifelong member of the Merrill Congregation Church.

In her youth, she was very athletic. She played basketball, powder puff football and was a hurdler with the track team. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors, but truly loved swimming.

She will forever be remembered for her kind, caring and selflessness to all. Surviving are two sons, Michael T. Babion, Jr. and his fiancée Chelane Washington of Henderson; and Scott P. Babion and his fiancée, Jennifer Holcomb of Hemlock; two grandsons, Nathan and Scottie; mother, Linda L. Faulkner of Tell City, IN; two sisters, Sandy L. (Paul) Brewster of Piketon, OH; Teri M. Faulkner and her partner, Cindy L. Zastrow of Hemlock, MI. Also surviving are two nephews and two nieces, James Pershing (Nicole Ray) and Randy Pershing and Kathleen (Nicolas Beaton) Taetsch and Mary Taetsch.

She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Michael E. Babion; father, Terry M. Faulkner, and a niece, Amanda Taetsch. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Merrill Congregational Church, 245 S. Midland Street, Merrill. Rev.

Richard Gossett will officiate. Honoring Penny’s wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
