Obituary for Peter R. Ceresa Peter R. Ceresa, age 92, of Peru, died on July 11, 2018, at Mendota Lutheran Home, a loving and caring community. From his birth in Dalzell on March 21, 1926, Pete was a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy. Born to Victor and Linda Ceresa, Pete was one of 4 boys.

(Ray/deceased, Victor/deceased, LeRoy/South Carolina) Pete graduated from St. Bede Academy and then joined the Navy in 1944. He served in WWII on the USS Torrance. He married Natalie Orlandi ( deceased Nov 2017) in May 1947.

Together they raised two children, Kay Hanlon (Jim) of Chicago and Peter Ceresa (Carmen) of Naperville. He was “Papa” to 4 awesome grandchildren. Kevin (US Army Ft Benning Ga) Jack (Denver), Zac (Iowa) Morgan (Naperville).

Pete always led by example and touched and enriched the lives of everyone he met. He always had a smile and a joke for every occasion. We will miss him so much.
