Obituary for Peter Bumpus Mr. Peter K. Bumpus, age 75 of Brighton, MI passed away December 4, 2018. He was the son of Gladys and Herbert Bumpus. On December 12, 1970 he was married to Sue Marie Derengoski in East Lansing.
Peter and Sue spent their married life in Novi, MI and Brighton, MI. Peter graduated from Amherst College and earned his MBA from Wayne State University. He was a member of the Army Reserve for several years.
He worked for American Motors, Xerox and finished his distinguished career at Eastman Kodak. He is survived by his wife, daughter, Sally Hector, son, Daniel Bumpus, son-in-law, Chip Hector, daughter-in-law, Kathryn Bumpus and granddaughters, Hayley, Kylie, Emma, Caroline & Adelyn. Peter cherished spending the summer months in Northern Michigan and Door County, Wisconsin and greatly enjoyed spending time on the golf course with Sue and other family and friends.
He will be missed dearly by his family and the many people he touched throughout his life. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church celebrated by Rev. Fr.
Joseph Campbell beginning at 10:30 A.M. Friends may visit at the church beginning at 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s memory to Cure HHT at www. curehht.org or P.O. Box 329, Monkton, MD 21111.
