Funeral services for Phyllis Ann Samudio will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 PM at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Owatonna, MN.

Phyllis Ann Samudio, 61, of Albert Lea passed away peacefully on 7-7-2018 surrounded by her family under the care of Thorne Crest and St. Croix hospice. Phyllis was reunited with her parents after being recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. Phyllis was born on 11-29-1956 in Owatonna to Myron and Doris Tainter.

She spent her early childhood in Owatonna until moving to Albert Lea where she started a family and worked as a housekeeper for many years. Phyllis loved spending time with her sisters and friends. In her early years Phyllis enjoyed being involved in softball, pool, get togethers at home and summer family trips to Valleyfair.

Phyllis enjoyed making moments last throughout the night by either playing games, or just hanging out and talking. Phyllis loved doing anything that involved being outside, taking walks with her dog Sammy always made her happy. She is survived by her former husband Tony Samudio Jr. and their children Kim Shovlain (Jack) Children; Landon, former son in-law Ryan and kids Michael, Calab, Corrine, of Fayetteville North Carolina, Miranda Samudio of Albert Lea, son Joe Samudio (Yvette) Children; Gianna and Vincent of Albert Lea, Sister’s Darlene (Ron) Seberson, Marlys Clark, Dianna Clark, Millie Clark, Brother Ernie (Linda) Tainter, Susan (Mark) Broskoff, sister in-law Mary Samudio and many other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents Myron & Doris Tainter, Brother Robert, Sister Delores, Myrna, mother & father in-law Tony Sr. and Garnette, Brother in-law Mark. Enjoy your time with family and don’t stay up too late with Elvis.
