Mrs. Briggs was born April 20, 1927 in Keokuk, Iowa to Earl Dow Prouty and Jessie May Williams Prouty and passed away May 22, 2018 in Longview, Texas. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gilbert Little Roraback; second husband, Bill Briggs; siblings, Jane Prouty, Jack Prouty, Jean Prouty Pond, and Margaret Helen Prouty Engelking; and son, Darwin Roraback.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Forrest Edward Roraback and wife Debra Lynn; son, Mark Conrad Roraback and special friend Carole; daughter, Stacey Roraback Williams and husband Robert James; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Kaye Gebert Roraback; brother, Dow Earl Prouty and wife Susan Elizabeth; grandson, Forest Manley Roraback and wife Alison; granddaughter, Gladys Anne Harms and husband Joshua Arthur; grandson, Benjamin Grant Roraback; grandson, Gilbert Carlton Roraback and wife Marisol (Marie); granddaughter, Alaina Roraback Hamilton and husband Kenneth Ryan; granddaughter, Jessica Roraback Rich and husband Blake Richard; granddaughter, Joyce Lyn Roraback; grandson, James Conrad Roraback; granddaughter, Stephanie Shaw; grandson, Joseph Frederick Shaw; grandson, Bryan William Maertins and wife Mary Patricia; granddaughter, Greta Gene Roraback Duncan and husband Todd Leon; granddaughter, Renee Roraback Wilson; grandson, Joshua Little Roraback and wife Julie Anna; grandson, Daniel Gebert Roraback and wife Kodee Ryan; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
