Obituary for Phyllis Lorraine Frietchen Phyllis Lorraine Frietchen, age 85, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at Heartwood Lodge Hospice Residence. She was born January 13, 1933, in Alpine Township, MI to Edward and Marjorie (Reichelt) Camp, and she married Fred Frietchen on September 15, 1956. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2010.

Phyllis worked as a school bus driver for Spring Lake Schools for twenty-five and a half years before retiring in January 1995. She loved playing bingo, crocheting, and was a very good cook. She is lovingly remembered by four daughters: Wanda Eckels, Kathy (Dennis) Rice, Georgianna (Tony) Green, and Bonnie (Bryan) Swiftney all of Grand Haven; her son, Steve Frietchen of Nunica; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; her sister, Elsie Campbell; niece, Vicki Campbell; and nephew, Jim (Alisha) Campbell; three sisters-in-law, Luella Frietchen; Willine Wybenga, and her children, Erwin (Mary) Wybenga and Nancy (Calvin) Heitzenrater; and Debbie Gustafson, and her children, Eric and Mark Gustafson; and special cousin, Jane Gleason.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Camp; parents, Marjorie and Harold Gustafson; brother, Arthur Gustafson; grandson, Leland Eckels; son-in-law, Tom Eckels; brother-in-law, Jim Campbell. A private graveside service will be held at Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Harbor Humane Society are appreciated.
