Obituary for Q. J. Singletary Q. J. Singletary, 96, passed away July 8, 2018 at his residence. Visitation will be 10am-11am Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs. Services will be 11am Wednesday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at New Zion Cemetery.

Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements. Mr. Singletary was a native and lifelong resident of Copian County. He was born in the house he lived in all of his life.

He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Singletary was a painter and farmer all of his adult career. He is survived by his son, Quitman John (Merri) Singletary, Jr. of Crystal Springs; 2 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren.
