Son of the late Odeal and Richard Gehring. Brother of Kenneth Gehring (Barbara) and Melissa Berthelot. Brother-in-law of Gladys Gautreaux, Eugene Sarah, Malcolm Sarah, and Michael Sarah.

Grandfather of Alycia Meredith and Richard Ford. Great grandfather of Trenton Meredith, Alexander Ford, Arianna Ford, Timmy and Remi Ford. He was a very kind and generous person and a lifelong resident of Gretna, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy. , Harvey, LA on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1pm until 3pm.
