Saltville, VA Ralph L. “Bunk” Allison, 73, of Saltville, VA died May 21, 2018. Bunk was born to the late Jim and Jennie Allison on May 25, 1944. He was a 1964 graduate of Rich Valley High School.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and a former Smyth County Sheriff’s deputy. Bunk retired from Becon Construction in 2010 and spent his retirement years gardening, napping, and fussing. He is also survived by one brother, Andy “Stick” Allison. By Bunks request there will be no services, but the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday May 24, 2018 at the Light House Baptist Church in Saltville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of choice.
