Ralph Ordue Young, age 91, of Portland passed away January 30, 2019 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. He was born in Smithville, TN on October 22, 1927 to the late Bethal and Besta Young. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Elise Young.

He is survived by his daughter, Wanda (Larry) Phye of Portland; son, Jeffrey (Lisa) Young of Benton, KY; four grandchildren, Heather (Jimmy) Knox, Brandon (Stephanie) McGuire, Tyler (Chelsie) Young, and Katie (Johnny) Keith; eight great-grandchildren, Donavon Hamlett, Dylan Knox, Sam McGuire, Kam McGuire, Elijah McGuire, Nora Young, Henry Keith, and Hannah Keith. Visitation will be 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Smellage Memory Gardens in the Boma community.

Bro. John Nichols will officiating. Dyer Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements.
