Randall Vance Ray, 59, of Burnsville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital after a short illness. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Isaac and Lillie Hensley Ray. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Maurice Ray and Carlton “Cotton” Ray.

Randall was a retired trucker. Surviving are his wife of 32 years: Pamela Biggs Ray; 2 sons: Myreon Ray and Ryan Ray; daughter: Sebrina Ray and Tommy Knighten, all of Burnsville; 3 grandchildren: Mya Ray, Gracelyn Beaver and Brayson Beaver; brothers: Ernest Ray of Burnsville and Larry Ray of Charlotte; sister: Janice Green of Greensboro; and, several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5 until 7PM Sunday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home.

A private family burial will be in Holcombe Cemetery. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Hospice of Yancey County for the care given to Randall, especially Anita, Donna, Kelly, Rachel and Amy.
