Obituary for Rayburn “Ray” Wilmont King Rayburn “Ray” Wilmont King, age 78 of Covington, LA died on Saturday, November 03, 2018, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. Born, Thursday, January 25, 1940 in New Orleans, LA to Wallace King and Gladys Fitzmorris King. Survived by his Wife – Claire King, Daughters – Kim Didier (Gil), Amy Bordelon (Don), Jennifer Hale (Kevin), Son – Gilbert King (Janice), Granddaughters – Katie Fulks, Haley Mooney, Ashleigh King, Alex Schofield, Grandsons – Allen Bordelon, Josh Bordelon, Tyler Mooney, Zachary Mooney, Reid Didier, Gilbert King, Jr., Sam King, Great Granddaughters – Amelia Fulks, Ava Bordelon, Great Grandsons – Kash Fulks, Tucker Bordelon, Noah Bordelon, Brother – Larry King, Sisters – Wanda Davis, and Sylvia Karp.

He was predeceased by his Father – Wallace King, Mother – Gladys Fitzmorris King, and Brother – James King. Ray found enjoyment and purpose in music, gardening and his family. Music and singing gave him fulfillment; while nurturing and harvesting his vegetable garden and flowers filled his days with purpose.

His passions will live on through his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 09, 2018 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Friday, November 09, 2018 from 9:00 AM to service time.
