Raymond E. Diarte August 23, 1930 ~ December 3, 2018 Raymond E. Diarte passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born on August 23, 1930 to Ygnacia Alvarado and Jesse Diarte in Brigham Ccity, Utah. He was raised by his mother and stepfather Genaro Flores in Ogden where he met the love of his life Floripa Salazar “Flora” they were married at St. Josephs Church in 1950.

Members of Saint James Catholic Church. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad until he retired. Raymond was the best dad, he loved traveling, going camping to spend time with his family and many friends where he and friends would sing and play guitar around the campfire.

He loved being around people and everyone loved “Jack” was very wise we all looked up to him and would go to him for advice. He was truly a great man and he will forever be missed. Surviving are his daughter, Rita; son, David Diarte; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Tammie Diarte; son, Raymond Diarte, Jr; grandson, Steve Diarte; granddaughter, Buffy Diarte Rogers; sister Helen, and his two brothers, Jimmie and Harry Diarte. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 10, 2108 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 N. Harrison, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
