He was a lifetime resident of Howard County. Raymond was a carpet layer but also did electrical and carpentry work. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Charles Baker, Jr. and one sister Seretha Baker. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
