Raymond Steven Webb, 71, of Newport News, Virginia passed away on December 17, 2018 in Asheville, North Carolina. He was born on December 9, 1947 to Melvin L. Webb and Nova Battiste Webb in Windber, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Gene Webb and Richard Leroy Webb.

Raymond served in the US Navy for over 35 years and worked for the US Government for over 30 years. Raymond is survived by his partner of 25 years, Linda Guthrie; children, Rachael Violette of Arden, North Carolina, Scott Webb (Kellie) of Eleanor, West Virginia, and Ian Webb of Newport News, Virginia; sisters, Beverly Webb, Donna L. Parker, and Frances Webb, all of La Belle, Florida; brothers, Bobby Webb of La Belle, Florida, and Jerry Webb(Nancy) and Sandy Webb(Wanda) of Hampton, Virginia; nineteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; good friends, Lawrence Brown and Norman Violette; and Linda’s sons, Bobby and Shawn Guthrie. A service will be announced at a later date.
