Funeral service for Raymond Wayne Hazel, age 67, of Decatur, will be Saturday, July 7, 2018, 2:30 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cletis Dean Elrod officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 6, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Hazel, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at the Parkway Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born May 13, 1951, in Morgan County, to Ruben Hazel and Mary Ann (South) Hazel. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary E. (Defoe) Hazel of Danville; one son, Michael Hazel (Tish) of Decatur; one daughter, Tina Amer (Abdo) of Hayden; five brothers, Kenneth Roden of Hanceville, and Jerry Hazel, Nathan Hazel, Jimmy Hazel, and Ricky Hazel, all of Morgan County; one sister, Martha Hazel of Morgan County; and four grandchildren, Chloe, Michael, Sarah, and Abigail.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
