Obituary of Raymond Weickel Jr. Raymond C. Weickel, Jr., 69, former long time resident of New Milford, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Born on November 1, 1948, to Raymond C. and Eleanor Weickel, he was the oldest of three sons raised on Sedgwick Ave in the Bronx. After attending Carmel High School, Ray served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy from 1966-1972 on board the USS Kitty Hawk as a signalman.

After retiring in 2006 from NY City Department of Sanitation he moved to Wappingers Falls, NY to be with his son and grandchildren. His happiest moments in life were spent fishing or spending time with his son and grandchildren. Ray is survived by his son Raymond C. Weickel, III and his wife Dawn M. Weickel of Wappingers Falls, NY his four beloved grandchildren Alyssa, Ryan, Emily and Jacob; his brother James Weickel of Brick, NJ; He is predeceased by his brother John Weickel of New Milford, NJ.

A Celebration of his life will be held at the Vineyard Community Church, 609 Rt 82 Hopewell Junction NY 12533 on Saturday October 6 at 4:00pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
