Obituary for Ray Richardson Elmer Ray Richardson, age 81, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away, Thursday, October 4, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Ray was born, January 11, 1937 in Stewart County, Tennessee, son of the late Doug and Myrtle Adams Richardson. During his career, Ray worked at Frosty Morn, Ratchford’s Tire Service, and retired from civil service Ft.

Campbell in 1994. Ray was a lifetime member of Stewart County Fire Rescue serving several years as Captain of Station 5 Hopewell. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Maggie Allen, brothers, Theo Richardson, Hershel Richardson, Jake Richardson, and son-in-law, Tommy Richardson.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janet Patterson Richardson, son, Ronnie Richardson (Sherry), and daughter, Patricia Richardson, all of Indian Mound. A celebration of life will be at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 6th, at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Samuel Wallace and Bro.

Mitchell Allen officiating, burial will be in the Dunbar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Theo Richardson, Robert Allen, Dwayne Perrigo, Chuck Gant, Rick Joiner, and Dave Beall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Chester, Jeremy Welker, Marianne Campbell, Kristy Patterson, Ashley Sisemore, and Members of Stewart County Fire Rescue. In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to Stewart County Fire Rescue, PO Box 420 Dover, TN 37058 or Hopewell United Methodist Church c/o Bro. Samuel Wallace, 1656 Hwy 232 Stewart, TN 37175.
