Reba I. Lucas, 87, of North Vernon, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at Covered Bridge Health Campus. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev.

Dale Boyd will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Born July 6, 1930, in North Vernon, Reba was the daughter of Ernest and Mildred Williams Yeager. She married Edward Lucas on October 16, 1948. He survives.

She graduated from Zenas High School in 1948. Reba had worked as an Avon sales representative for 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting and going to the casino.

Reba is survived by her husband, Edward Lucas of North Vernon; two sons, Jim (Debbie) Lucas of North Vernon and Jerry (Karen) Lucas of North Vernon; two daughters, Beverly (Jim) Bird of North Vernon and Donna (Ronald) Bowling of North Vernon; two brothers, Fred and Tony Yeager; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mildred Yeager; and six brothers, Marion, George, Curt, Byron, Walt and Tommy Yeager. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the North Vernon Moose Family Center.
