Rebekah Heath Sirmans, age 80, of Queen City, Texas went to be with her heavenly father July 3, 2018. She was born July 15, 1937 at Texarkana Sanitarium in Texarkana, Texas to Chappell and Joyce Reverra Heath. She is survived by her loving husband, John Calvin Sirmans, who was her high school sweetheart and best friend.

She is lovingly remembered by many. She was a former elementary teacher in Dickinson, TX, Deer Park, TX, and Queen City, TX and retired as Librarian at Queen City High School in 1992. Since retiring, she enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, reading, and traveling throughout the United States and abroad, having traveled to 4 continents.
She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Queen City, TX, where she served in children’s ministry, senior adult ministry, and nursing home ministry. She was a member of the Cass County Retired Teacher Association, and a former chaplain of Atlanta Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
All family and friends are invited to a Celebration of life service 10:00 am, Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Looby officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to FBC Queen City Stirred Hearts and Willing Spirits, Queen City Schools Alumni Association or to the Charity of your choice.
