Rena Terro April 05, 1941 – May 28, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card LAFAYETTE ~ Memorial services will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 at TIME PENDING in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Rena Terro, age 78, the former Rena Simon, who passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette. Mrs. Terro was a native of Crowley and a resident of Lafayette. She was a Lay Minister with St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.

Mrs. Terro owned and operated a restaurant in Crowley and a dry cleaner in Lafayette. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Willard Terro; one son, Ricky Dale Terro; one daughter, Myrtice Comeaux all of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Tiffany Landry and Jarrod Allen Landry, Sr.; five great grandchildren, Jacob Allen Landry, Rianna Elmore, Raileigh Landry, Ryland Landry and Jarrod Allen Landry, Jr.; one brother, Roy Simon of Esterwood; and two sisters, Ella Mae Simon of Orange, TX and Helen Abshire and her husband, Loveless, of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Ann Matte; her parents, Acey Simon and the former Laura Abshire; and one brother, Rodney Ray Simon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. Friday and will be extended until after the service until 2:00 p.m. Friday.
