Rena Wood Clemmer April 04, 1940 – May 01, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Memorial Donation Rena Wood Clemmer, 79, of Charlottesville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Born on April 4, 1940 in Albemarle County, Virginia; she was the daughter of the late Manis McKenley Wood and Rosebud Gammon Wood. She is also predeceased by her husband Joe Edwin Clemmer, and two of their sons, David McKenley Clemmer and Jeff Clemmer; two brothers, Forrest Wayne Wood and James M. Wood; two half-sisters, Ruby Humphries and Virginia Wood; and three half-brothers, Joe, Hunter and Raymond Wood.

Rena was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a lifelong Baptist. She retired after more than 40 years at Comdial. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy J. Haney and a son Danny Clemmer; a brother, Melvin W. Wood; four grandchildren; Ricky Jr., Kristina, Michelle and Amanda, and a great-grandchild, Kadyn.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Rob Pochek officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 Rio Rd E, #104, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
