Reverend Christina D. (D’Abramo) Testa, 90, formerly of Jersey Shore, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at The Williamsport Home. Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette (Niro) D’Abramo. Christina was a member of the Nippenose Valley Fellowship Church.

She was an ordained minister from Eastern Bible, now Valley Forge Christian, College. She also attended the Montreal Conservatory of Music. Music was her passion and love; it sustained her and helped keep her with us.

Christina worked as a music director, playing the piano, organ and directing the choir. She was a member of the American College of Musicians. She was such an accomplished musician that she played at the Carnegie Hall in New York City and even tested pianos for Mr. Wurlitzer himself.

Family was everything to Christina. She married Reverend Albert Testa on June 9, 1951 in Montreal. They celebrated over 50 years of marriage together before he passed away August 31, 2003.

Surviving Christina is a son, Albert S. Testa (Tracy), York; a daughter, Christina R. Strayer (Clifton), Williamsport; six grandchildren, Kimberly, Christopher, Kristen, Kevin, Clifton and Matthew; six great grandchildren, and a sister, Gloria DeCaen, Surprise, Arizona. In addition to her parents, she is precede in death by her loving husband, Reverend Albert Testa, a daughter, Reverend Mary Ann Testa-Lewellen, and two sisters, Carmen D’Attellis and Anita Betker. A celebration of Christina’s life will take place on Tuesday, March 26th at 11:00am at Nippenose Valley Fellowship Church, 92 Schoolhouse Rd.

Jersey Shore with Pastor Dave McCoy officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, March 25th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore and again on Tuesday, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church. Burial will be in Oval Cemetery, Jersey Shore.
