Rev. Gordon Eugene Evans was born on June 15, 1951 to the late Chanie Williams & Weston Dean in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 while in the University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

He was affectionately known as “Vito” to some and “Meatball” to others. He will truly be missed by many. His life will be forever cherished by his loving & devoted daughters, Shatega Evans of Thomson, Georgia & Tashaonda Humphrey of Stockbridge, Georgia; grand-daughter, Albria Jackson of Thomson, Georgia; sister, Cathy Williams of Illinois; nieces, Takeshia Howard, MyKayla Mays, Amiyah Howard all of Chicago Heights, Illinois; nephews, Quentin Cole & Corey Howard, Jonjuan Gardener, Jr, Jayce Gardner, Quentin Cole, Jr & Sebastian Wiggins all of Chicago Heights, Illinois; two best friends, Jerry Ivery & Leroy Commander both of Thomson, Georgia and a special friend, Tyrone Lowe of Lithonia Georgia, a forever friend, Loleater Gibson of Vallejo, California and a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
