Obituary of Rev. J. Alan Ford Lyons Falls – Rev. J. Alan, Ford, 71, of Cherry St., passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Folts Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Herkimer.

J. Alan was born on March 1, 1947 in Webb City, Missouri, a son of John Arthur and Nancy Cash Ford. He grew up in Brentwood, MO, graduating from Brentwood High School, with the Class of 1965. He then attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Church Ministry.

Rev. J. Alan Ford, later received his Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Louisiana Baptist University. On June 8, 1968, Rev.

Ford was united in marriage with Carol Moreland in Detroit, Michigan. Rev. Ford served Baptist Churches across the nation, of which he served the Southwest Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas for over 30 years.

This is where he and Carol raised their family. He will affectionately be remembered as a people person; and the people he served were the most important and enjoyable part of his work in the ministry. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol, a daughter and her family: Charlotte (Nick) Barkley of South Bend, Indiana and their triplets: Stella, Maisy, and Maddon; a son and his family: Pastor Jeff (Jessica) Ford, and grandsons Jayden and Westley, and a son Nathan (Kristin) Ford, Mt.

Juliet, TN. Also surviving is a brother James (Terri) Ford, O’Fallon, MO. Rev.

Ford was predeceased by his parents John and Nancy Ford. In keeping with his wishes, all services will be held privately. Funeral arrangements are in care of the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.
