Pastor Charles Joseph Briscoe went home to be with his Lord Saviour Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 25 in his home that he shared with his “Honey” Barbara Briscoe. The Homegoing celebration for one of Kansas City’s greatest Spiritual Leaders at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church, 3619 E. 35th St in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, September 29, 2018 beginning at 10am. The Visitation will be the day before on Friday, September 28 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1700 E. Linwood Blvd.

KCMO from 8am to 8pm where he and his wife served, prayed, loved and were loved and adored by all under the leadership of Pastor John L. Brooks, whom Pastor Briscoe also loved, respected, and adored. Previous to serving at Macedonia, Pastor Briscoe was the pastor of Paseo Baptist Church for 35 years and Pastor Emeritus for several after he retired. He will surely be missed by his lovely wife, Barbara Briscoe; his brother, Jerry Briscoe; his children: Donald (Arlene) Briscoe, Susan Briscoe, Debra (Michael) Counce, Jewel Adams, Diana (Leo) Collins, Donna (Bruce) Vick, Patricia Mack, Rhonda (Jessie) Hardin and Ronzell Shepard; 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, a special son, (his Pastor) John L. Brooks, and a host of family, Colleagues, and Friends.
