Reverend Mrs. Nettie Rauch Lee, 89, wife of the late J.C. Lee, died Monday, February 18, 2019, at Carolina’s Hospital, Florence, following an illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Terrell’s Church of God of Prophecy with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery, Coward. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Reverend Lee was born August 27, 1929, in Florence County, daughter of the late Thomas Rauch and Lizzie Crapps Rauch. She was a graduate of J. C. Lynch High School. Reverend Lee pastored churches, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 60 years formerly at Pleasant Grove Church of God of Prophecy, Terrell’s Church of God of Prophecy, Twin Pine Church of God of Prophecy, and pioneered both Olanta Church of God of Prophecy and Kingstree Church of God of Prophecy.

She enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and singing, and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Surviving are sister, Effie R. (Reverend Lonnie) Grimsley; adopted daughter, Reverend Becky (Ronald) Jones; special adopted granddaughter, Peggie Lynn Jones; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Alice (L.C. Feagin) and Dianne (Reverend Wayne) Varnadoe; and close friends, Lizzie Jean Yarborough and Jeannie Miles. Reverend Lee was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie Rauch, Earl Rauch, and Ray Rauch; and sisters, Ada R. Cox, Rosa R. Watford, and Lessie R. Hicks.
