Rex Bruce Mace, 85, of Ocala, Florida passed away October 25, 2018. Rex was born on May 11, 1933 in Lodi, Ohio to Blonda Carl and Mary Marguerite Mace. After High School, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea.

He returned to Ohio to marry Carole Elizabeth Russell in 1956. They had three children – Matthew Carl Mace (61 years), Rhonda Elizabeth Mace Pilcher (60 years), and Michelle Ann Mace Miller (55 years). During his career, Rex built silos, made cabinests, drove trucks, built fences and owned a meat packing business.

His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He also took great pride in his association with the Florida Highway Patrol Auxillary and the Anthony Florida Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carole; his son Matthew and his daughters Tara and Talia; his daughter Rhonda (Glen) and her daughters Cori and Kelli, and son Codi; his daughter Michelle (Marc) along with sons Mikael, Matthue, Maxx and Marrac, and daughter Marin.

The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Countryside Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
