Rex Gregory Grass Creek, Indiana passed in Miller’s Merry Manor on the September 15, 2018. Born on the 1st day of September 1943 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of Robert Gregory and Betty (Tyler) Joslin. Rex grew up on the banks of the Wabash River.

On November 1st 1969 he married Deanna (Doan). An Indiana Free Mason, he was employed by Pennsylvania Railroad (Conrail) and retired after thirty years of service in 1997. Although an avid fisherman and hunter, he placed his family at the forefront of his passions.

He loved teaching others his unique understanding of nature and shared with those closest to him the secrets of his successes. He passed this knowledge and love to his son Larry and pridefully to his grandchildren Trey, Ryonn, and Brent Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Faye, his son D. Larry Doan II (Anita), grandchildren Donald L. “Trey” Doan III, and Ryonn Doan, special daughter Deb (Thomas) Zartman, granddaughters Angie (Farris) Morris, Becky (Farris) Sutton.

Extended family includes; Brent (Elizabeth) Thomas, Ryan (Stephanie) Thomas, and Nathan Thomas. He was preceded in death by; daughter Bonnie (Hardy) Farris, two brothers Tom and Jeff Gregory, mother Betty Joslin and father Robert Gregory. Family visitation and friends’ reception will be held Saturday September 22, 2018 from 3:30-5:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 pm in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
