He was born on June 10, 1933 in Orange Grove, TX, son of Augustin and Eloisa (Rocha) Tijerina. Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Josefina Tijerina, Brigida Gonzales, Ofelia Tijerina, Guadalupe T. Lugo; brother, Augustina Tijerina, Jr.; nephews, Samuel Gonzalez, Roberto Montiel and Rudy Tijerina and is survived by his brothers, Lorenzo (Julia) Tijerina, Jose Tijerina and several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 until time of rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Duddlesten Funeral Home on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 W.
