Obituary for Richard A. Bruce Sr. BRUCE, RICHARD A., Sr. Age 79, of Sheraden and Canadohta Lake, peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Beloved husband of 55 years to Margaret “Peg” (Paulin) Bruce; father of Richard (Deborah) Bruce, Jr., Gregory, Michael (Christine) and Scott (Dawn) Bruce; dear Pappy of Rachel, Alex, Nick, Kenzie, Kennedy, Dom, Tyson, and Brooklyn. Rich was a former employee with the City of Pittsburgh.

He was a Code Specialist and City of Pittsburgh Code Enforcement – Administrator until retirement. Some of the programs he organized while with the city: Paint Your Heart Out Pittsburgh, Paint Your Heart Out Sharon, Union City and Greenville, and Concrete Your Heart in Pittsburgh. He also started the DVD program for dialysis patients (in eight locations) as well as books for dialysis patients.

Rich was one of a kind, all he did was help others and he will be remembered by all who knew him. Family and friends received MONDAY ONLY 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the SCHEPNER – McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 165 Noble Ave.
