Richard A. Johnson 85, of Middleboro, MA passed away January 3, 2019 at Hope Hospice in RI after a period of failing health. We was the husband of the late Catherine (Harris) Johnson. Richard was born October 28, 1933 in Boston.

He was educated in Boston Schools and had lived for many years in Whitman, moving to Middleboro in 2002. He worked as a Meat Cutter for several Supermarkets in the area and enjoyed going to the COA in Middleboro, playing pool, woodworking, puzzles, feeding the birds, nature, building doll houses with his brother Donald but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also made and donated a dollhouse to the Middleboro K-9 Unit and Fire Department for a fund raiser.

He is survived by 4 children Valerie Hammarberg and her husband Glen, Richard Johnson, Denise Leavitt and her husband Dean and Joanne Myers; 6 grandchildren Jennifer Ambrose, Glen Hammarberg, II, Valerie Pappagallo, Andy Leavitt, Gilbert Drewett and Eli Myers and several great-grandchildren. He was also the grandfather of the late Barry Johnson and brother of the late Donald, Frank and Robert Johnson. All services are private.
