Richard A. Wright Sr. of Westtown, NY, an Auto mechanic and former owner of Rit’s Atlantic Gas Station, Rit’s Hillside Garage, Rit’s Sinclair Gas Station, and Rit’s Walden Gulf Station, all in Walden. Also the former owner and manager of Wright’s Fine Wine & Spirits in Goshen. A lifetime resident of the area, he passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2018.

He was 74. The son of the late Arthur E. Wright and Eleanor Straub Wright, he was born January 23, 1944 in Bronx, New York. Richard was known for his sense of humor.

One of his favorite things to do was to go to car shows with his beloved 1935 Chevy Truck (Old Blue). He was a member of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America (VCCA). Survivors include his Wife, Charlene Loughman-Wright; 3 Son’s, including Mark A. Wright and Richard A. Wright, Jr.; daughter, Delores C. Wright; 2 Step Daughters, Deana Merry & Crisseda Besson & her husband, John; 8 Grandchildren He was predeceased by his brother Edward A. Wright.

As per Richard’s wishes funeral services will be private. Donations may be made to: American Heart Assoc.
