Richard Allen Bellew passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones on May 11, 2019. Richard was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on July 30, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Allen Bellew and Genieve Piepgrass Bellew.

Richard married Nancy Carter Thomas on January 1, 1972 in Elko, Nevada. Richard retired from Continental Bakery moving on to other endeavors. Richard spent his years of retirement in companionship with his wife and dogs traveling and enjoying life with multiple adventures.

Richard had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them while fishing and golfing at various locations. While suffering many physical limitations, Richard stayed positive throughout the years. Richard is loved and cherished by all and will be missed very much.

Richard is survived by his wife Nancy of 47 years, his dog Lizzy; moreover, his sister Margaret Fairchild, his children, Karyn Bellew Steele, Dax and Flora Bellew, stepchildren; Tari Thomas, Kimberly McDaniels, Scott and Lorraine Thomas, Greg and Shelia Thomas. Richard will be missed by 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to visit Thursday morning, May 16, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City.
