Richard Arvin Rosenlof March 27, 1940 ~ June 13, 2018 (Age 78) Richard Arvin Rosenlof – Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He will be greatly missed. He was born March 27, 1940 in Salt Lake City at St. Mark’s Hospital to Arvin Rosenlof and Margaret Pearson Rosenlof.

Richard grew up in Bountiful, Utah graduating from Bountiful High and attended the University of Utah. He married Kayla Peterson and had 2 children, later divorced. He married his wife, the love of his life Marci Takagi Rosenlof and they spent over 40 years together and had 3 children.

Richard and Marci made their home in Bountiful Utah for over 40 years. They enjoyed spending all their free time at their cabin at Bear Lake, where countless memories were made with family and friends. They continued the floral business started by his parents, Arvin’s Flowers.

Richard also enjoyed buying and selling cars for his dealership Revco Auto. Richard liked to stay busy and could always be found working on one of his projects, or planning the details of the next one. Richard loved adventure and throughout his life he shared this love with his family and friends.

Richard loved to go on long motorcycle rides with his buddies and exploring the mountains and deep snow on his snowmobiles and skis in his younger years. More recently he enjoyed trips in the motor home exploring Death Valley, Lake Havasu and other warm sunny places. Richard loved spending weekends at the family cabin at the lake swimming, boating, jet skiing, water skiing, and Sunday morning buttermilk pancakes on the deck.

Richard is survived by his wife Marci Rosenlof of Bountiful UT; his five children, Julie (Greg) Gabor of Bountiful UT, Richard Douglas (Jolene) Rosenlof of Layton UT, Jamee (Chad) Lefler of Woods Cross UT, Richie Rosenlof of Bountiful UT, Russ Rosenlof (Xiaodan) of N. Ogden UT, Step Daughter Holly Burningham. Nine Grandchildren; Sydney, Tevin, Tia, Jade, Sabian, Hayden, James, William and Ava. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Gayle Mountford.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Bountiful 2nd Ward Chapel, 650 South 200 East Bountiful, Utah 84010. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary 727 North 400 East and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church.
