Hyrum Stevenson Stoker October 15, 1980 ~ June 8, 2018 An unexpected car accident claimed the life of Hyrum Stevenson Stoker, 37, on June 8, 2018 in Centerville, Utah. He was born on October 15, 1980 in Ogden, Utah to Howard Stephen Stoker and Sharon Rosella Stevenson. He will always be remembered by his smile, integrity, and willingness to serve others.

Hyrum loved football, an avid Detroit Lions and Utah Utes fan, along with basketball (Utah Jazz). He was a favorite uncle to many, Uncle “Moe”. He was the life support and glue to his family and siblings.

He was very good at planning and organizing many family and friend events. Most of all he was a loving father and husband. Raised in South Ogden, Utah, he graduated from Bonneville High School.

Further education included both a Bachelors in Accounting and MBA from Weber State University. He was employed as the controller at Manheim Auto Auction in Woods Cross, Utah. He was a great leader, friend, and listener to many.

Hyrum married Taya Lyn Sears on June 10, 2011 and they were blessed with two beautiful children, Kaydence Lyn Stoker and Kamden Craig Stoker that he loved dearly. The family resides in Syracuse, Utah. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Hyrum is survived by his wife, his daughter and son, his parents, and five siblings: Rebecca E. (Paul E.) VanDreew, Evanston Wyoming; Deborah R. (Michael K.) Memmott, Kaysville, Utah; H. Scott (Carrie E.) Stoker, Syracuse, Utah; Howard S. (Jamie A.) Stoker, Syracuse, Utah; and Alice C. (Kelly J.) Petersen, Roy, Utah. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Stephen Stoker. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Burch Creek 4th Ward, 4955 Adams Ave, South Ogden, Utah.

Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Grave site dedication will occur at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes any donations would be made to the Hyrum Stoker Memorial at any America First Credit Union.
