Richard Arthur “Pops” Boehme, age 77, died peacefully at Pella Regional Hospital in Pella, Iowa, surrounded by his family on October 13, 2018. He was born on August 30, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York. He always had a passion for collecting anything and everything, from stamps to baseball cards.

He enjoyed building 3D puzzles, playing chess and watching wrestling. Pops was a scotch man and could easily drink anyone under the table. He told it like it was and always kept his word.

He was tough as nails but as loving as a hot chocolate on a cold winter day. For many years he cared for his sick wife, Margie, who passed away in 2003. Pops was survived by his daughter, Mary and her husband Jeff, son Phil, daughter Susan and husband Troy; grandsons Michael, Anthony and his girlfriend Megan, Stephan and his fiancé Angel; granddaughters Margie and her husband Donaven, Cynthia, Katie and her fiancé Brandon; great grandchildren Parker, Kelton, Brielle, Abbey, Christian, Valerina, and Elijah.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie and daughter, Donna.
