Marrying his childhood sweetheart, Janet Cosner on September 14, 1955 in Oakland, MD, together they decided to make their home in the thriving Steel Mill town of Struthers, OH. Richard lived a full and contented life doing what he enjoyed. Many of his enjoyments included watching baseball and the stock market, sitting on his porch listening to bluegrass music, especially Rhonda Vincent, spending his summers planting and working his vegetable garden, and tending to his retirement gift to himself, his beloved Red 95′ Ford Mustang. He especially loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Whether it was their annual vacations to the North Carolina beaches, trips to West Virginia, baby sitting the grandchildren and in later years attending and being present for all their extra curricular activities. He with his wife Janet were in the center of it all. Richard was a loyal family man, neighbor, friend and he was always willing to help any one in need, including people he did not know.

His memories will live on in all who knew him.
