Obituary for Richard Eric Mardis 40, formerly of Louisville, passed away Nov. 6 at his home in New Albany. He attended Male HS and graduated from Waggener HS.

He also attended Campbellsville Univ. Eric was employed by Horseshoe Casino as a dealer. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Schultze Mardis and preceded in death by his father William Mardis and grandparents Harvey and June Schultze and Dr. Richard and Elizabeth Mardis.

Eric had been involved in Sea Scouts, Crusade for Children, dart ball, Vacation Bible School, ham radio and poker. Visitation will be Saturday Nov 10 from 3-6PM at Ratterman Funeral Home 3711 Lexington Road. Funeral service will be Sunday Nov 11 from 2-3PM at St. Matthews Baptist Church 3515 Grandview Avenue.
