Obituary for Richard Eugene Scott Scott, Richard Eugene Portage, MI Died on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center, age 76. Richard was born in Kalamazoo on May 22, 1942, the son of the late Donald E. Scott and Melvena E. (Wilson) Scott. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

He graduated from Portage High School and then attended Western Michigan University, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent his career working in computer repair for over 35 years, retiring in 2002. He is survived by his fiancée, Connie Provost; cousins, Paul (Donna) Scott, Gloria (Werner) Linde, Donna Linde-Shaw, Ira Krup and John (Kathy) Scott; and other extended family members.

Friends may visit with the family from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2018 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Ave. , Portage, MI 49002, where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Rev. James Dyke will officiate the service with entombment to follow in Mt.
